Today's appointment
I got the news I was afraid of today, but not what I was really wanting to hear. I'm no longer allowed to work. I need to spend most of my day on my side, alternating between left and right. I can sit straight up for meals. I can take 15 minute walks. NO sodium, need to keep it as close to zero as I possibly can. I had lost some more weight, but he said that's good, it's still water weight coming off and not to worry about that. He said it looks like we have dodged a bullet with pre eclampsia for now, but I need to keep doing what I have been doing. I monitored my blood pressure myself at home and it does get high when I'm up moving around, but luckily it always gets back to a normal range once I am resting. We have found a couple of good recipes for low sodium meals, so I'm not starving as much as I was before, but it's still a very hard diet to follow and there are so many things that I am really missing being able to eat. He said that I need to follow these guidelines until I'm 37 weeks, which is 7 more weeks, at that point if the baby is born then it will be okay. Now to just find things to keep me occupied on the couch for the next 7 weeks.....

Update
Thursday I went to work and after being there a couple of hours, got really sweaty and didn't feel quite right. I went to the nurse to have my blood pressure checked and sure enough it was HIGH. She told me to call my dr and the dr said to go to the hospital to be monitored. By the time I got to the hospital my blood pressure was down a little and after a little over an hour of monitoring and with me laying down, it was down to a normal level. The baby was also monitored during that time and was doing great! The only problem was keeping the monitors on the baby, as our little one does NOT like to be still! The nurse kept laughing and said that I sure had an active one. I was finally released and told to go home, no working, lay on my side, no exercising and to minimize walking, basically get up to go to the bathroom and that is it. I have an appointment on Monday with my ob and we'll see what he says. I have been taking my blood pressure a couple of times a day at home and when I am laying down it's at a normal level, but after I have been up for a short time then it increases. I'll post an update after my appointment on Monday.

Update
My blood pressure is lower today, but still high. I lost 8 pounds following the low sodium diet. I'll get the results of tests in the morning. I'm hoping to be able to work at least the rest of this week, he said he would know more once he had the test results. When I'm not at work, I'm not allowed to do anything other than lay on my side and get up to shower and go to the bathroom, including on the weekends. I'm staying on the low sodium diet, so anyone with tips on that, feel free to let me know! He said he doesn't want me back to normal activity because I have done so well on restrictions and had good results. I'm also already being put on weekly visits. Baby is still doing great and even kicked the nurse while she was following it around trying to get a good reading on the heartbeat :)

Today's appointment
Today my blood pressure was high.....having to follow a low sodium diet for a few days and other than when I am at work, I have to be laying on my side. This is hopefully going to allow my kidneys to get rid of excess salt in my body, the dr. is hoping that I am simply just retaining water. I go back Monday for the dr to check my blood pressure and some lab work. Hopefully things will have improved some. If the blood pressure doesn't go down then I will be looking at being put on bed rest. So other than tomorrow while I'm at work, I will be laying down until Monday morning.....that means no rodeo on Saturday :( Kit-Kat is excited about me having to lay down because her favorite place to nap is on my hip when I am laying on my side. The diet is going to be hard, but hopefully it's only for a few days and I'll do whatever it takes to keep this baby safe.

27 weeks
I am now 27 weeks, only 13 short (well probably more like LONG) weeks left until my due date! From all the moving that has been going on and all the jumping that my belly is doing, I can tell this baby is really growing and getting stronger and stronger! Last week, I had to take the glucose test, it wasn't quite as bad as I was worried about, but the stuff was really nasty! I don't have my results yet, but hopefully I passed it and won't have to do the 3 hour test.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Chad tricked me on Valentine's Day, that morning he said that he hadn't had a chance to go shopping because he had planned on doing it Saturday, but we already had plans and he had forgotten that we were going to be busy all day. I didn't mind at all, all I had for him was some Hershey Kisses! We went to lunch and he commented several times that he hoped I wasn't mad that he didn't have anything for me. After lunch, he went out to the garage and brought in red roses, a huge stuffed frog, and a beautiful necklace with a heart shaped pendant that has "LOVE" written on it. I was really surprised!!!

25 Weeks
I am now 25 weeks. My dr.'s appt last week was good, everything looks fine. I go in 2 weeks to do the glucose test, not looking too forward to drinking that stuff :( The baby is always on the move! I keep feeling bigger and bigger movements and can even see my stomach moving now. I've been feeling good, other than horrible heartburn and my hip/leg pain. The pain had been better for a while, but the past few days it has gotten really bad again. Oh, also......frequent trips to the bathroom. My uterus has been measuring high for quite a while, but the baby seems to like hanging out right on my bladder, which just isn't a lot of fun! This weekend, Chad put together the bookshelf that we are going to use as storage in the nursery, pictures will be posted once I finally make it upstairs to take a picture :)
