Happy 4 Months Kylie Hope!

Kylie is 4 months old today!

Kylie at:

birth~       7 pounds 7 ounces
                19 3/4 inches long

1 month~  9 pounds 12 ounces
                 20 3/4 inches long

2 months~ 11 pounds 8.5 ounces
                 23 inches long

4 months~ 14 pounds
                 24 inches long

I finally checked growth charts today and she has basically been right around the 50th percentile since birth for weight and height.

She had her 4 month appointment yesterday and got 3 shots. She cried as she was getting the shots, okay she SCREAMED as she was getting them, but stopped the instant I picked her up when they were finished.  I think the shots bothered her more this time than they did before.  She slept all day yesterday and has been pretty sleepy and a little fussy today.

Kylie sure is growing up!  This past month she has started eating rice cereal and LOVES it.  Her eyes light up when she sees the spoon and she starts kicking her legs and gets so excited!  As much as she loves her bottle, I figured she would feel the same about food!  Today I gave her green beans for the first time, not sure exactly how she feels about them yet, but she ate the green beans.  There is video that will be eventually uploaded (not good about remembering to post videos).  Also, she sneezed while eating the green beans...um that wasn't too pretty!

Kylie still likes her swing and usually takes her afternoon nap in it, she doesn't watch the red button as much as she used to, but still loves the zebra on the swing.

Kylie has been laughing more and more, we never really know what is going to get her going, but as soon as she starts laughing then we can't help but laugh with her, it is the sweetest sound!

Kylie loves to lay on her play mat on the floor and play with her toys.  She reaches and grabs toys and everything instantly goes to her mouth.  She can roll over in both directions and when we do tummy time she usually will roll over at least once each time.  Kylie now really enjoys tummy time which is amazing because she used to scream during it.  I think Kylie's favorite toy is her snail that plays music and lights up when touched, she will play with it for a very long time.

Kylie is having to wear a bib ALL the time right now.  She is drooling a lot and was getting rashes under her neck and on her chin from all the drool.  The bibs are helping with the rashes though we have to change them pretty often, she sure can soak one quick!

Kylie is never quiet anymore, the favorite (or least favorite depending on the time) is her monkey sounding noises.  She even practiced them one morning at 4:30 for an hour and a half.  She practiced the same noises when we went out to eat one evening.  Kylie enjoys conversations with anyone that will make noises/sounds back at her.  Kylie has also started SHRIEKING, it's a happy shriek, but still a shriek, like a ear splitting, bone chilling shriek and she loves doing it!

Kylie is still a good sleeper for the most part....we've had some bad nights lately and she has had some trouble falling asleep recently, but hopefully that doesn't last too much longer.

Most importantly, Kylie still has the prettiest smile in the world and is always smiling!
