Thanksgiving 2008 Pictures
Here are pictures from our Thanksgiving yesterday. We were with my mom's side of the family. There were a little less than 30 there, can't remember the exact # we came up with. We had to have tables set up outside because of the large number of people and luckily there was no rain and it wasn't cold either.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone had a great day with family and friends. We spent the day with almost 30 of my family members and had a lot of good food! I took some pictures and will upload those tomorrow, I'm pretty tired tonight. This year we even used our timer to get a picture of the whole group, it took a lot of trial and error, but between 3 of us with cameras with timers we finally got it right :) I have 2 of the group pictures on my camera and will share those tomorrow. Even though I am too tired to upload pictures, I wasn't too tired to do a little online shopping at some stores with some Thanksgiving Day specials, I was so excited to see that they had some of the same prices on the exact items I was going to go and get tomorrow. Now, I don't have to go shopping tomorrow! I am going to do a little more online shopping first thing in the morning and then I should be just about all finished with Christmas shopping!!! Check back tomorrow for Thanksgiving pictures :)

Today...
it sure was cold, but we braved the cold to go to Christmas On The Square. Tomorrow I am going to work on putting out more Christmas decorations, last weekend I started on the Christmas village, but then got to not feeling good and haven't touched it since. hopefully tomorrow I will be able to work on it and will post some pictures. AND hopefully Kit-Kat doesn't decide to help tomorrow, here's a picture of her helping last weekend....she sure made rolling around on glittery cotton look like fun, plus the added bonus that she was nice and sparkly the rest of the day!

Few Weekends Ago...
A few weekends ago, we spent the day with my brother and sister-in-law and several other family members and I just have to share some cute pics of their puppy, Abby!
FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's Friday, which is exciting on its own, BUT add to it the fact that I am off work ALL next week, that makes it even super duper exciting!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids were wild this week and I just havent' been in the mood to put up with them and am sooooooooo glad that we have a full week off this year. Last year we only had off 3 days and that was NOT enough!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow, Chad and I are going to my parents for the day. Then next week I am going to decorate for Christmas while I am off work. Thanksgiving we will be back with my family for that day.

Happy Redneck Thanksgiving
You Might Be A Redneck If..........
You've ever had Thanksgiving dinner on a Ping-Pong table. (maybe not an actual ping-pong table, but a folding card table...yes!)
Thanksgiving dinner is squirrel and dumplings. (don't think I have eaten squirrel, BUT I think a relative did cook and bring squirrel to either Thanksgiving or Christmas one year)
You've ever re-used a paper plate. (at the same meal, yes....don't save them for other days or later meals though)
If you have a complete set of salad bowls and they all say Cool Whip on the side. (hmmm...do have a few of these for putting leftovers in)
If you've ever used your ironing board as a buffet table. (nope...but I will keep this in mind if we ever need more room)
On Thanksgiving Day you have to decide which pet to eat.
Your turkey platter is an old hub cap.
Your best dishes have Dixie printed on them. (not our best dishes, but with so many people, it's easier to eat off paper, less to wash later and who has that many real plates??)
Your stuffing's secret ingredient comes from the bait shop.
Your only condiment on the dining room table is ketchup. (sure it's out, but wouldn't be the only one)
Side dishes include beef jerky and Moon Pies.
You have to go outside to get something out of the 'fridge. (well there are extra fridges outside the house, so I guess sometimes, yes)
The directions to your house include "turn off the paved road". (no explaining this one...YES all my relatives live on a dirt road, that's why I like having a truck, especially when it has been raining and you can slip and slide the whole way!)
You consider pork and beans to be a gourmet food.
You have an Elvis Jell-o mold.
Your secret family recipe is illegal. (if it was, I sure wouldn't admit it for the world to read on here!)
You serve Vienna Sausage as an appetizer.
Hmmmmm.......so maybe I am a little bit redneck, but is that a bad thing???? Check out a few pics of me growing up and tell me if you think there is some redneck in me?!

We love you Toby!
"They screwed me 'till I finally saw the light." Toby Keith said, referring to the CMA. Apparently, Toby doesn't need the help of anyone because he is the richest country music star, so take that CMA!!!!!!!!!!! Toby is one of my favorite, along with George Strait and Alan Jackson, and I don't care what anyone else thinks, he is great and puts on some of the best performaces, ever!

100th Post! (Actually 103rd)
Well, I missed the actual 100th post and just today realized I had 102 posts already and decided it was only appropriate to mention that I have reached the milestone of 100 posts! Now that it is here...what am I supposed to even post about???????? Being the google addict that I am and to quote my dad I decided to "google it". So I googled 100th blog post to come up with ideas.
First, I decided that no I was not going to have a giveaway to celebrate this...not enough people read it and I don't have money to spend on a giveaway, sorry y'all know I am a teacher...
Second, I can't believe I actually had that many things to write about to make it to 100 posts. When I started this thing, I wasn't real sure I would ever have anything to say. My blog is just a combination of things...pictures-new and old, funny videos/pictures/e-mails, or just my thoughts on whatever I might be thinking about. I post a lot of just random things, it seems. This was just a way for me to post pictures or let people know what is going on in our life, I guess a way to let anyone that cares keep up with us.
After looking thru some google searches, looked like others didn't really know what to do either. A lot of people choose to post 100 things about themselves. Um......are there even 100 things about me? and do I have to do 103 since it is my 103rd???
