Kit-Kat!

Kylie LOVES Kit-Kat and tries to pet her every chance she gets!  Kit-Kat has really come around, but I still wouldn't call them friends....

Last week, Kylie reached up to pet Kit-Kat and Kit-Kat slapped her hand (no claws, just one quick slap).  Poor Kylie, she had the biggest frown ever on her face and it just kept getting bigger and bigger and then she broke out in loud crying.  She buried her head in her daddy's chest and he hugged and comforted her, then she ran to me for some more love.  It was so sad and so funny all at the same time.  Kit-Kat didn't scratch her, just slapped her hand, but it broke Kylie's heart.  She was devastated that Kit-Kat would do that to her.  I'm hoping that it will help her learn to leave Kit-Kat alone when she doesn't want to be bothered...

Toadally Awesome

Kit-Kat bought me a gift and was nice enough to let me open it yesterday! They are frog pajamas that say Toadally Awesome on the shirt AND the shirt lights up! They are really cute. Will take a picture when I have more time and post it later.

Wrapping Presents

Last night, I decided to wrap some presents. Kit-Kat decided that the paper looked like a really fun toy....I kept pushing her off in the beginning, but finally just let her play. She would run and pounce on the paper and had the most fun playing. Of course, I took pictures :) I threatened to wrap her up in the paper and give her as a gift to someone, not that anyone would take her! I only ended up getting 2 presents wrapped and one has bite and claw marks all in the paper.

Today, I was watching tv and noticed Kit-Kat right in front of the fireplace staring at it. I think she must have been waiting for Santa...

It's Friday!!!!!

YIPPEE!!!!!!! It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to be thru with this week of work. I hope next week will be better (I know it won't be, but I have to hope it will be just to keep myself sane). Things aren't any better at work, problems haven't been solved, just now getting the impression that I am being avoided to keep someone from having to acknowledge what was done. WHATEVER!!!!!!!! I don't care anymore. I know I am in the right and I am trying to do what I'm supposed to do and it's the others that are standing in the way of that.

I am sooooo tired right now. Last night I went to bed around 10, a little before 2, I woke up because Kit-Kat was in my face and tickling me with her whiskers. I made the mistake of opening my eyes and as soon as she saw I was awake, Oh boy, was she ever excited. I petted her some and then figured I might as well go to the bathroom since I was up. She disappeared, I got back in bed. Then she showed back up and dropped her mouse on the bed. I get tired of sleeping on mice so I threw it off the bed. WELL, for those of you that don't know, Kit-Kat plays fetch and loves it, so when I threw it she of course brought it right back thinking we were playing a game at 2 AM. I then decided that the mouse could sleep in the bed with me and convinced Kit-Kat to lay down also and we were finally able to go back to sleep. I need to make sure and let her know that tomorrow I am sleeping late so she won't wake me up!

Snoring

It happened to be silent in the house, I had been on the phone and had the tv paused. When I hung up the phone I kept hearing noises next to me, all that was there was Kit-Kat laying on her blanket sleeping....I kept watching and listening and sure enough it is her snoring! I have heard her snore before, but never this loud, it is so funny!

Fetch

I am sitting here and playing fetch with Kit-Kat, she is very excited because earlier today when I swept, I found 3 long lost favorite mice under the couch. After much debate, she decided to play with the black one. We had been playing for several minutes and then I couldn't find the mouse, looked everywhere and finally asked her where she dropped it....she walked over and stuck her head in Chad's shoe, I put my hand in there and sure enough there was her mouse! She is now tired of playing fetch and is stretched out on the floor next to her mouse. I still think she plays fetch better than any dog that I know!

UPDATE: Now she is chasing her tail around and around in circles.....it's going to be a long night!

Her favorite spot to sleep is on top of clothes that are freshly washed and dried and that haven't been hung up yet. I try to be pretty quick about putting clothes away before she can get on them, she has also been known to knock over a stack of neatly folded bath towels.

This is Kit-Kat's chair and blanket, it's by a window that has a great view of the birdfeeder and she spends a lot of her time there.
