More Virginia

While in Virginia we visited both Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.
Getting ready to walk to the Assateague Lighthouse.
It's being sandblasted and getting a new paint job soon so we weren't able to go inside.
Then it was time to head to the beach!
She wasn't too sure about the horseshoe crab.

It was a nice sunny day, but still cool for swimming and according to Kylie the water was ice cold.  There were plenty of people on the beach sunbathing, but very few actually getting in the water.

We stopped by to see some ponies
She's holding her own stuffed Assateague pony, she named him Pony Pony.  The next morning she told me his name was Unicorn, but I finally convinced her to go back to calling him Pony Pony :)
She loved dancing in front of the windows and watching her reflection.
Ready for another boat ride.
And once again...she is sound asleep!
Oops, this one is out of order and it won't let me move it.
Well look who finally woke-up!
Kylie's turn to drive!
She loved playing in the rocks.
Checking the crab traps
Yum, doesn't get much fresher than this!
Kylie and her new BFF Marley ;)
Entertaining herself on a long car ride back to Philly
We had a great trip, but were all ready to get home after being gone for so long.  Kylie was so excited to see Kit-Kat and had already planned out exactly what she was going to tell Kit-Kat when we got home.  Unfortunately the plane ride home wasn't too great, there was quite a bit of turbulence and Kylie ended up getting sick :(  The plane ride couldn't end fast enough for me, I was ready to get home after dealing with that on the plane!

What a great vacation! I've never been any of those places...except NYC. Glad y'all had fun. Sorry Kylie got sick on the plane. We've never flown with Chloe. Other than her getting sick, did she do ok flying? I have a feeling we will be inducting Chloe into the fly club in the next year or so...

I'd only ever been to Philadelphia, all the other places were new to me! It helped that we stayed with family the whole time!

Kylie did great flying, it was about a 3 1/2 hour flight, she napped a little, watched some tv, colored, put stickers all over me, etc. I packed her a small carry on bag with all kinds of distractions and I didn't even need to use most of it. She's flown before and never gotten sick, one of the flight attendants commented that she was even nauseous after the flight, so I think it was just all the turbulence. Though I sure am going to be nervous the next time we fly...

I'm sure Chloe would do fine, just make sure and pack things to keep her entertained, also pack snacks and some extra clothes for all of you just in case! I even take milk for Kylie thru security, but I'm not sure how much longer they will consider her a baby and young enough for me to carry milk for!
