Predictions

Found a web site that tells you different old wives tales about if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl. Here are the results.....
Boy 10
Girl 6
The majority of the old wives tales are pointing towards boy and that's what most people keep telling me also. In about 4 months, we will know if all the predictions are right!

23 Weeks

I am now 23 weeks! The baby is getting stronger and stronger, Friday evening I felt a huge kick! I'm starting to be able to tell the times that the baby is usually awake and active. We are getting more and more done with the nursery and working on getting things ready. My due date is now in less than four months. Time has really flown by.

20 Week Ultrasound Pictures

FINALLY.....I'm getting around to posting a few of the ultrasound pictures from our 20 week ultrasound. Everything looked fine and the baby is really growing! I had been feeling little flutters since before Christmas, but today those little bitty flutters have turned into something a lot stronger! I have gotten a few good kicks/hits today that's for sure! My hip/leg pain has good and bad days, especially depending on what shoes I wear or more if I wear shoes. My dr. did recommend some things and I am doing my best to do what he says, BUT one thing he said was to not walk around barefoot, well I absolutely hate wearing shoes, so that has been a hard one to follow. Luckily I found a pair of sandals that makes my pain a lot better, so as long as we don't get 20 degree weather again, I'll be wearing those all the time.

Nursery

Our main colors for the nursery will be green and yellow gingham. The bedding is called cottontail friends, it's gingham with baby animals on it. We are NOT finding out if we are having a boy or a girl so everything that we are buying is neutral. This is just the beginnings of the nursery, we still have a lot of work to do and I'll post pictures of the progress as we do more. This Saturday I will be 20 weeks, so I am almost halfway there!

My mom made the green gingham basket liners

Sheets that match the bedding

Quilt that we will use as a wall hanging

Crib skirt that my mom made, it's yellow gingham

blanket that my mom made for me as a baby

pillow sham

blanket and burp cloths my mom made

Of course we have some Toby Keith outfits ready!

Kit-Kat doing quality control, she tested all the blankets for softness

First Astros outfit, baby will look toooooooo cute in this!

First Astros Cap

yellow gingham curtains that my mom made, there is also a valance, but I just have them up using some old tension rods for right now, we still need to buy a curtain rod, but I had to put them up just to see how they looked! We also still need to buy shades for the window.
