Party Day!!

She insisted on Glamour (purple stuffed cheetah) being in the picture with her.  Glamour hasn't left her side since the day she got her.

Mommy and her girls!  You can see that Kylie's eyelid is red and swollen.  For over a year now, whenever she gets an upper respiratory infection, once the fever breaks and she starts feeling better, her one eye gets red and swollen.  The first few times I was worried, but now I am happy when I see it happen because I know that the worst is over and she's getting better.

I  love this picture!  After lunch, Chad took her into a bedroom and we hurriedly got cake and ice cream ready.  I then asked everyone to hide in the kitchen so we could surprise Kylie.  I went to where she was and told her to come out because everyone had left.  She walked out behind me, moving very fast.  The look on her face says it all, she was surprised!  She told us later that she really thought everyone had left.  I'm so glad we were able to actually surprise her.

She was starting to get tired.  She didn't enjoy opening the presents as much as she normally would have, but she enjoyed going through them all the next day when she was well rested.

A bicycle!  We haven't even had a chance to ride it outside yet, it's rained almost every day since getting it.

Party Decorations

We decided to decorate for the party early to give us more time on the actual day to get last minute things done.  Kylie planned her own party...My Little Pony theme, hot dogs, cake, ice cream, at Maw and Paw's, who to invite, party hats, and most importantly that it had to be a surprise party.

4 Years Old!

Woke up with a low grade fever, decided to take her to the dr since it was going to be a long weekend.  It's not fair having to go to the dr. on your birthday!

It's hard to believe that Kylie is four years old!!  Unfortunately she was sick on her actual birthday and then we had to postpone her party also because of her being sick.

She was excited for a special breakfast, but she didn't end up eating it, her throat hurt too bad.

Kylie has grown and changed so much over the past year.  Her first year of preschool was a great success!  She loved going and looked forward to it each time.  She's already asking when school will start back.  This year she went 2 days a week, next year she will be going 4 days a week.  I know she is going to love it, though she will miss her teachers from this year.

Kylie is still on the smaller side.  She wasn't looking forward to the shots, but was brave and only cried a little.  She did walk out very slowly.  Bribery helped....I had some plastic animals in my pocket, plus we went to Toys R Us to spend birthday money, and then to Jason's Deli (free ice cream) for lunch.  Her poor legs were really red from the shots for a few days.

~she loves My Little Pony and seems to have most of the toys, her party was also this theme
~loves little plastic animals, like is completely obsessed with them....she has so many, I couldn't even guess how many she has.  She likes for them to be with their families so she always wants to have more than one of each kind.  Her biggest obsession is the puppies right now.
~Kylie loves to sort things out into like groups-her animals, play food, coins, pretty much anything that can be sorted.
~Kylie is a great big sister and loves Bailey so much.  She is always trying to help with Bailey.
~We had Kylie tested and she's now in speech at the elementary school, she goes for 30 minutes a week to help with some of her sounds.  They think she'll most likely be in it for just a year, so hopefully she will be finished before she starts kinder.
~Kylie LOVES to talk, as in she never stops talking!  She can talk about anything and everything and carries on conversations with herself if there's no one willing to talk to her at the time.
~Kylie has a great imagination, last night she was hollering for her animals to get out of the trees outside.  Seems like her animals are always getting into some kind of trouble!
~Kylie remembers everything she hears and loves to learn new things.

Comparisons

I am loving comparing pictures of Kylie and Bailey wearing the same outfits.  They look so much alike, Bailey weighs more than Kylie did, but is longer.  Kylie was for sure chubbier.

2 Months!

This outfit is 6-9 months and not too long.

Bailey is now 2 months old!  I can't believe how quickly time has gone by.  She had her appt on Wed and is doing great.  Bailey is now 12 lbs 3.5 oz, 76th percentile and 23 1/2 inches long, 92nd percentile.  We knew she was long, she seems to be all legs.  She has outgrown 3 months footed pj's and is getting close to outgrowing the 6 month ones also, she has long legs and big feet!

Bailey is still easy going most of the time.  She is sleeping through the night, eight hours or so this week.  She eats a lot and in the evening it seems she eats constantly.  Bailey's not such a good sleeper during the day unless she is being held. Her favorite thing is snuggling up close on your chest and she would gladly sleep like that all day long.  She just curls up on our chest, it's so cute.

Bailey and Kylie love each other so much.  I love seeing the smiles Bailey has for Kylie and am looking forward to them being able to start playing together soon.  I think Bailey is looking even more like Kylie lately.  I see Kylie in her facial expressions so much.  The only difference is the hair, Bailey has a head full and it's dark and curly.

Bailey loves her mobile.  She does not like tummy time and will only tolerate it if Kylie is on the floor with her.  Bailey spends a lot of time in the bouncy seat, it's the only way I can get something done in the evening.  She loves being in the kitchen and looking at the lights.  Kylie was always a fan of the swing, Bailey doesn't like it as much, but will sit in it for short periods of time.

I am so behind on pictures, but I have had so much fun looking back at Kylie's baby pictures, that I'm going to try to post the pictures I'm behind on.  I know that some day I will want to go back and look at them.
