So, I decided I would make a cake for Easter this year that I saw online, actually combine two cakes to make something fun and cute. Well, I think the end result would qualify for one of those "Pinterest Fails" sites, yep, it was bad, really, really bad! It was supposed to be stripes of 3 different colors (I used the directions for a zebra striped cake), that I scooped out carefully into 2 pans, 1 tablespoon at a time. Yes, it took a long, long, long time.

Ready for the oven |
It looked pretty going into the oven and looked okay coming out of the oven, but then when I tried to get it out of the pan, it all fell apart.

Cooling~still looks okay, though a few cracks were showing |
I've never had a cake do that before, it just crumbled. I was so mad, especially after spending so much time on it.

Have you ever seen a worse looking cake?! |
Luckily my husband went to the grocery store and came back with a few cake mixes and icing. I told him to not dare buy the same kind I had just used! The 2nd cake turned out fine, but after the first disaster I didn't take the time to do all the different colors on the inside.
